The FIP provides information on freshwater research resources and tools for the assessment and management of freshwater ecosystems. Existing freshwater datasets are described in the Freshwater Metadatabase and are partly included into the AQUACROSS IP. Occurrence data of freshwater species can be found in the Freshwater Biodiversity Data Portal (http://data.freshwaterbiodiversity.eu) and spatial data are presented in the Global Freshwater Biodiversity Atlas (http://atlas.freshwaterbiodiversity.eu).
