The source of energy used is from the following sources: hydropower plants, thermal power plants (Diesel, Heavy fuel generators and methane gas) and solar energy.   • The kWh data are from published reports of the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA), generally issued quarterly. The most recent report included is September 2017. The MW data are calculated from the kWh data to allow comparison with power plant capacities. Note that the data are quarterly. To find the annual kWh values, add the kWh numbers for each quarter of a given year. To find the annual MW values, average the MW values for each quarter of a given year.
