ACARA collects, analyses and reports statistical and related information about schools and the outcomes of schooling. School profile data tables include information starting from 2008 on each school's suburb, postcode, state, school sector (government or non-government), school type (primary, secondary, combined, or special), student profile (including socioeconomic indicators, Indigenous enrolments and other demographics), NAPLAN performance, funding, enrolment numbers, attendance rates, and staff numbers. School location tables provide additional geographic information on each school, including latitude, longitude, Local Government Area (LGA), Statistical Areas Level 1 through 4, ABS meshblock, and remoteness area. A range of additional data tables are available subject to completion of an application form. These provide more specific data on topics including enrolment, attendance, student progress and outcomes, VET in schools, school finances, and NAPLAN results.
