Filtered wind turbine planning applications since 2001 extracted using https://www.planit.org.uk/ and Renewable Energy Planning Database (REPD). Details of PlanIt filter: * Individual planning websites were queried via PlanIt using the search terms "wind turbine" and "wind farm" * Records with latitude or longitude missing were subsequently excluded. * If height was defined within 'description' field, ie. if the field contained 'XXXm' or 'XXXmetres', records were excluded where height < 20m. * If power was defined within 'description' field, ie. if the field contained 'XXXkW' or 'XXXmW', records were excluded where power < 0.15mW. * If 'micro ... wind' was within 'description' field, ie. a micro wind turbine, record excluded. The REPD database was manually corrected (on 2024-09-19) by searching for the 'Planning Application Reference' field within the appropriate planning website and amending this field if necessary. Where appropriate, manual links to the source planning record were also added. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/renewable-energy-planning-database-monthly-extract Note: when a record in REPD overlapped with PlanIt, the PlanIt record took priority.
