The Energy Systems Catapult (ESC) Tariff Design Tool has been developed to assist South African municipalities in setting electricity tariffs and analysing the effects of tariff changes on their customers and on the municipality. The tool considers the effects of Small-Scale Embedded Generation (SSEG) installed by customers, specifically solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, and can assist municipalities in setting tariffs appropriate for customers with SSEG Please refer to the documentation at the bottom of this page for a guide on how to use this application.
