This dataset reports annual national emissions of particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter of 2.5 micrometers or less (PM2.5), derived from the EDGAR global emissions inventory maintained by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. PM2.5 emissions are aggregated across key anthropogenic sectors including energy production, manufacturing and industrial processes, agriculture, transportation, and waste management. The EDGAR methodology combines harmonized activity data with sector-specific emission factors to generate consistent historical emission trends for all countries.
