These geospatial data are provided to the public to aid in the understanding of the geologic resources of New Mexico.  New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources staff largely involved with development of this map and data services include: Chang-Heng Yang, Mark Mansell, Mike Timmons, Phil Miller, Adam Read, Stacy Timmons, Jake Ross, Nick Tenorio, Cathryn Pokorny and Julian Paquin. This is the 2nd edition Interactive Map, with related services, built by the Earth Data Analysis Center (EDAC) at the University of New Mexico. Data compilation, digitizing, and services were funded in part by the New Mexico Environment Department - Drinking Water Bureau. Funding toward the 2nd edition Interactive Map also came from Healy Foundation.
