- Our Embedded Capacity Register (ECR) contains information on all generation, storage and flexible demand assets which are either already connected, or accepted to connect to the Northern Powergrid network. This information is updated by the 10th working day of each month and provides visibility to our stakeholders on distributed generation. Within this dataset, users can find the point of connection, voltage, capacity, connection status, generation type, flexibility information and dates for acceptances and connections. This part of our ECR is for assets which have an installed capacity of less than 1MW, and greater than or equal to 50kW. - Our Curtailment Events Site Specific dataset shows specific instances where power generation in our Northeast and Yorkshire licence areas was reduced during the RIIO-ED2 period. The reductions were triggered by Northern Powergrid include operational or protection measures, managing planned outages, and related adjustments before and after outages.Each row in the dataset represents a single event where power generation was reduced. It includes the start and end times, the estimated total amount of energy reduced, the average reduction in access, the reason for the reduction and the related Grid Supply Point (GSP). - This dataset contains geographic information about the National Parks and National Landscapes (formerly Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty) in our region.National Parks are run by National Park Authorities for the purpose of conserving and enhancing the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage and to provide opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the Park by the public. AONBs are designated areas where protection is afforded to protect and manage the areas for visitors and local residents. Under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000, Natural England has the power to designate areas of outstanding natural beauty (AONBs) in England that are outside national parks and that are considered to have such natural beauty it is desirable they are conserved and enhanced; issue a variation order to change an existing AONB boundary. - A monthly updated snapshot of the number of meters connected by local authority district and by meter category: smart; and not smart (analogue). Specifically, our smart meter definition is that the meter is connected to the national communications infrastructure provided by the Data Communication Company (DCC). Note 1: where Northern Powergrid borders other DNO boundaries and share coverage of common local authorities, only Northern Powergrid customers numbers are shown. Note 2: the smart meters are mapped to Local Authority by post code using Office for National Statistics datasets which are updated periodically. However, Northern Powergrid smart meter installation counts are updated monthly.
