Overview

This file contains a set of the fields at the Census tract level from the U.S. Census' 2017 American Community Survey 5-Year Data Profiles. The fields it includes were selected for being the most relevant to analyzing topics around transportation and equity. They cover the following topics: family structure, education, veteran status, disability, residence over the past year, foreign-born populations, language spoken at home and broadband access. Each field name contains an alphanumeric reference to the ACS table it is from, as well as a brief description of the information in the field. For example, the field DP02_0012E_households_65_living_alone comes from ACS Table DP02, and ACS numbers the field on that table as 0012E. It provides a count of households in each Census tract composed of people aged 65 and older who are living alone.
