NERL (NATS En-Route PLC) employs advanced analysis tools and industry best practices to assess the impact of wind turbines on air traffic service electronic infrastructure. While not exhaustive, maps provide insight into potential interference areas. Consultation zones for 54 AGA communication stations, 55 navigation aids, and 20 radar sites are defined. Line-of-sight assessments are detailed for turbines of varying heights. Conflicting statements may arise from shared radar coverage between NATS and airports. Maps aid applicants in evaluating the impact on NERL infrastructure, excluding airports, which requires consultation with respective airports. The maps are available to download as either Google layers (kmz) files, or shp files, both file types are zipped. The kmz files can easily be visualised using Google Earth, while shp files can be imported into any GIS software package. Please be aware that all images including maps and ESRI shape files are subject to copyright and may not be reproduced or altered in any way without prior permission from NATS.
