Overview

The aim of this FGS option is to support the targeted control of grey squirrels (Sciurus carolinensis) in areas where they are a threat to red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) populations. This support is offered via the Forestry Grant Scheme (FGS) - Sustainable Management of Forests - Species Conservation - Grey Squirrel Control. Please note that this dataset is primarily intended to support the FGS grant scheme. For a copy of the definitive PARC boundaries and indicative buffers, please contact the Scottish Wildlife Trust. Scottish Forestry would like to thank SWT for their approval to use this data. For more detailed information please see the metadata record on Scotland's SpatialData.gov.scot Metadata Portal.
