Webinar recording and transcript. __Title:__ Superior Energy Performance (SEP) Measurement and verification case study webinar: Detroit Diesel __Date:__ July 14, 2016 __Presenters:__ Paul Scheihing (U.S. Department of Energy); Carlo Caltagirone, Chris Long, (Detroit Diesel); Rand Green (Georgia Institute of Technology) __Summary__This Measurement and Verification Case Study webinar is the fourth in its series highlighting U.S. manufacturing facilities that have achieved Superior Energy Performance (SEP) certification. These facilities have fully implemented the ISO 50001 standard and improved their energy performance significantly—up to 30% over three years. This webinar highlighted Daimler’s Detroit Diesel Corporation facility, which used a rigorous energy management system to meet the ISO 50001 standard and save an impressive $37 million over 10 years (see their success story featured in this video on the SEP website). Topics included the facility’s use of the SEP measurement and verification process to quantify energy and cost savings and demonstrate a strong return on investment. Measureable results instilled confidence in management, which led to additional capital funding for energy projects with more flexible payback periods. __Run Time:__ 59:57 Internet Archive URL: https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://www.energy.gov/eere/amo/articles/sep-case-study-webinar-detroit-diesel
