Overview

This work was conducted at the University of Washington in collaboration with Emrgy, Inc. with support from TEAMER. The University of Washington deployed multiple physical scale models of potential future design aspects in their Alice C. Tyler test flume. From this research, the impacts of different blade pitch angles, effects of variable accelerator wall to canal hydraulics, and performance improvement potential with dynamic rotor heights were evaluated. The submission contains experimental data from scale-model testing of various configurations of vertical-axis hydrokinetic turbines, a naming convention README file and the project post access report. This project is part of the TEAMER RFTS 10 (request for technical support) program.
